    Ancient Egypt

    Egypt had the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and New Kingdom. They were at peace with Kush and often traded with each other. Egypt decided to attack Kush because they wanted to prevent Kush from getting stronger. They succeeded, but Kush gained their independence and attacked Egypt, conquering them.

    Mesopotamian settlements grew

    Over time, Egyptian settlements grew in size and complexity. They developed between 3000 and 4000BC

    First writing system

    The Sumerians developed the world's first writing system, cuneiform. They used sharp stick like tools, called styluse, to make symbols that were wedge shaped, on to clay tablets.
  • 3300 BCE

    Hieroglyphics

    The earliest known examples of Egyptian writing are from 3300 BC. These early Egyptian writing were written on papyrus. There are 600 symbols of heiroglyphics which are mostly pictures of objects.

    Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt is formed

    Protected from invaders, the villages of Egypt grew. Wealthy farmers emerged as village leaders, and strong leaders gained control over several villages. By 3200 BC the Villages banded together and became two kingdoms. One was lower-Egypt and one was upper-Egypt.

    Menes rose to power

    Around 3100 BC a leader named Menes rose to power in Upper Egypt. He sought to finish what an earlier king, Scorpion had started.

    Sumerians settled in Mesopotamia

    By 3000BC, several hundred Sumeritans began civilization.
  • 2700 BCE

    Old Kingdom began

    Around 2700 BC, the Third dynasty rose to power. Its rule began the Old Kingdom, a period in Egyptian history that lasted for 2700 BC to 2200 BC
  • 2500 BCE

    Most famous ruler in the Old Kingdom

    Khufu who ruled in the 2500s BC, Egyptian legends say he was cruel. But historical records tell us the people who worked for him were well fed.

    Rise of the Akkadian empire

    The peace between the sumerians and akkadians was broken when Sargon wanted to extend his empire.

    India had the Harrapans, aryans and many religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism .

    Middle Kingdom

    Around 2050 BC, a powerful pharaoh named Mentuhotep II defeated his rivials. Once again Egypt was united. His rule began the Middle Kindom, a period of order and stability that lasted until 1750 BC

    Hammurabi became the city's greatest monarch to rule babylon, making it rise to power

    Indias first cities

    One of the first civilizations in India were the Harrapans. Scientists think that they thrived in about 1700 BC

    New Kingdom

    Ahmose rose the power beginning the New kingdom, which Egypt reached the height of its power and glory. During the New Kingdom which lasted from about 1550 BC to 1050 BC, conquest and trade brought tons of wealth to the pharaoh.

    Egypt taking over Kush

    Kush was going to attack Egypt, but to prevent that attack Egypt's leader ThutMose the first sent an army to take control of Kush in 1500 BC

    Babylon falls

    In 1200BC the Assyrians gained control of Babylon for a brief time
  • 1200 BCE

    Ramses the Great

    In the 1200 BC the pharaoh Ramses II or Ramses the Great, came to power, Ramses, whose reign was one of the longest in Egyptian history, fought the Hittites. But no one won until they became allies.

    Vedas

    The aryan religion was formed on the Vedas, there are four vedas containing sacred hymns and poems. The oldest Veda was written in 1000 BC

    The Buddha before he was the Buddha

    Siddartha Guatama was born in about 563 BC. Prince Siddartha grew up in luxury and wealth, he never had problems to face but he felt like something was missing so he went on a journey on a Quest For Answers

    The Mauryan Empire

    Candragupta Maurya ruled his empire with six houndred soldiers and spies, he fought for a long time until he became a Jainist monk but to do so he had to give up his throne to his son who extended the empire.
  • Astronomy

    The Gupta made great advances in astronomy, despite the lack of modern devices such as telescopes. They used devices like this from 1700's and observe the stars and maps
  • Modern Event-Malaysia-Laws

    Our modern laws slightly resemble Hammurabi's code
  • Egypt resembles today in Malaysia

    Farming in Egypt would be a great help to farming today and would resemble it.

    As India is still here today a lot is the same in our countries today as Buddhism and Hinduism still are religions today
