The Battle of Austerlitz - Napoleon
The battle of Austerlitz was an important conflict in the Napoleonic Wars, involving France vs Russia. Napoleon, inspired by his duty to the French people, was fighting in order to expand France and make it the most powerful nation of all. His soldiers were also fighting for the same reasons, but also to honor their leader Napoleon. They were willing to go as far as to risk their lives for this, with Napoleon proclaiming that he would join his soldier in battle if there was any doubt of defeat. -

The Jewish State - Theodore Herzl
After being oppressed and mistreated for centuries, the Jewish people began to make moves to create a Jewish state where they could live free from discrimination. They were, essentially, fighting for a place to exist in the world where they can live peacefully. In a speech by Theodore Herzl, he says: "...fight for our cause with voice and pen and deed." which suggests that they were willing to use diplomatic means to achieve a Jewish state, like speaking out and through written messages. -
Report of the Congo Commission of Inquiry
The Congo Commission of Inquiry was an event that oversaw Belgian control of the Congo. This control involved enslavement and exploitation of Congo natives for valuable resources. The Belgian government believed that expansion of their nation and valuable resources like rubber was worth fighting for. They were willing to go as far as to exploit natives and pit them against each other with sentinels, who were natives instructed to make sure other natives worked, and to punish those who didn't. -
Constitution of the Black Hand
The Black Hand was a kind of Serbian secret society created shortly before the First World War. Its constitution states that it will, among other things, start uprisings in any place with ethnic Serbs, claiming them as a part of Serbia. The Black Hand's nationalism and desire to unite all Serbs is what they find to be worth fighting for. They are willing to (as said in their constitution), give up hopes for glory and fight with anyone in opposition to The Black Hand's nationalist plans. -

Costa Rican Constitution
During the middle of the 20th century, Costa Rica saw political turmoil, which ended in a provisional government abolishing its military. The government was fighting to establish a peaceful, pacifist nation after its rough past. Jose Figueres, who was the head of the provisional government, was willing to topple the military and take control of Costa Rica in order to achieve this. -

Speech to the UN General Assembly - Yasir Arafat
In a speech to the United Nations, Yasir Arafat calls for Palestinians to be liberated from the Zionist who settled their lands and occupied much of it. He and Palestine are fighting for their historic land claims to be restored to the Arabs who once lived there. He says that he comes "Bearing an olive branch and freedom fighter's gun", which means that he will attempt diplomacy and peace first, but will resort to violence if that is unsuccessful. -
Hutu Ten Commandments
Amidst the conflict between the Hutu and Tutsi people in Rwanda, the Hutus, the ethnic majority in Rwanda, created ten commandments. These were mostly laws controlling Tutsi people and interaction with Tutsis, which greatly oppressed them. This shows that the Hutus believed that Hutu superiority in Rwanda was worth fighting for, and were willing to instate laws which oppressed Tutsis in order to achieve this. -

Yemen Humanitarian Crisis
During 2014 in Yemen, due to the necessity for lower gas prices and a new government, insurgents from the Houthi rebel group took control of the capital and presidential palace, which prompted the president to resign. This sparked backlash from neighboring countries, which caused the current humanitarian crisis. The Houthi rebels were fighting for economical and governmental reform, and were willing to throw Yemen into a humanitarian crisis to try to achieve this.
