The Gulf of Tonkin incident was an attack to the USS boat which broke a war crime rule. To dive into details North Vietnamese attacked the Maddox (DD-371) boat in the sea. The crime that was mutual around every country, which was "The sea belongs to everyone/no one." -
Operation Rolling Thunder
The Operation; Rolling Thunder was a bombing where jets flew over Thailand and release their load. The bombing was sent by the U.S. Airforce to force Ho Chi Minh to abandon his attempt to secure South Vietnam. The operation later failed and because it was not effective, the mission was sent out by President Lyndon B. Johnson. -
US combat troops arrive in Vietnam
Mr. Preisdent JFK himself sent around 60,000 troops in Vietnam to support South Vietnam from the communist North Vietnam. The effect JFK was searching for was to help aid military support to strengthen the Saigon government. Tet Offensive
The Test offensive was a tactic used to carry out North Vietnam's plan, the plan was to attack more than 100 cities and outpost located in South Vietnam. Around 60,000 killed in the North side, and 2,600 killed towards the U.S and South Vietnam side. This was nunified by an agreement in Paris. -

My Lai Massacre was a horrific story in the U.S. book, the massacre consisted of American Soilders killing women, children and old men. This protest was a protest held by college students to support the trend of the cancelation of the Vietnam War. Unfortunately this protest had lives sacrificed and taken away for a good cause. The protest ended in police shooting at midnight killing four and wounding nine this protest was also nickednamed a massacre. -

Fall of Saigon
In this event South Vietnamese captial fell to the North Vietnamese thus ending the war. The nickname still stands today as "Black April". American troops couldn't help as they were not trained for the guerilla warfare.
