Homestead Strike
Is example of a event that went wrong for the labor movement. I say this because many of the workers that fought this were just simply replaced. This is one of few events that sadly failed to work in favor for the labor movement. -
Mckees rock strike
This strike helped the labor movement as it led to successful unionization efforts in the 1930s. This strike is one of the many that really helped the labor rights movment. Also this event happened as the pressed steel car employees went on strike, -
Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire
This event was fundamental to the labor rights movment as it showed everyone how these people were basically kept locked in this building. Adding to this many immigrant women died in this fire due to there being very few exits as the owners feared they would leave if they were given to much freedom at work. Following this catastrophic event it know forced more factorys to have emergency exits. -
Nelson Hale Cruikshank
Nelson helped the labor rights movment by giving workers medicade. This can help workers Incase they get sick or anything happens with their health. Adding to this him fighting to give workers medicade helped workers not have to spend lots of money on health which would other wise cost them alot. -
MLK
Helped the labor movement as black people were being discriminated and paid unfairly. He fought this and wanted equallity for all no matter what race and not only in labor. Adding this MLK greatly helped the labor rights movment as now people can get paid by what they do and not their race. -
