Railway Act
Prevented unfair treatment to Railroad workers. Statees could not have seperate laws or treatments for Railroad workers. -
Social Security Act of 1935
An act to provide general welfare by establishing old age benifits. It raised revenue. -
FLSA
The act forbids the unfair treatment of employees by employers. It was amended many times to raise minimum wage. -
Child Labor Laws
These laws were part of FLSA. Anyone under 15 cannot work in a factory or during school hours. -
Affrimative Action
This was first implemented by President Kennedy. Required racical fairness with funding provided by the federal government. -
Contract Work Hours Standard Act
This was another branch of FLSA. Replaced "Eight hour Laws" because they were too confusing. -
Equal Pay Act
This act was anamendment form the FLSA. Forbids the practice of different pays for men and women. -
Civil Rights Act
This act outlawed discimination in any work place. -
EEOC
Made everyone starting of at an equal pay. Prevented discrimination on anything. -
Age discrimination act of 1967
Banned unfair treatment of workers over 40. Made everyone equal no matter the age -
Immigration Reform and Control Act
Banned discrimination of US citizens born outside of the USA. Can have criminal penalties for giving unfair treatment. -
Americans with Disabilities Act
Prohibits the non employment of citizens with a disability. Public transportation must be useable for disabled too. -
Employment Standards Administration
This administration created Child Labor Laws. They also created a set wage and hours. -
American Job Act
Puts more people back to work. Made by President Obama -
OSHA
Must have caution signs when working will involve dangerous working conditions. Will have inspectors make sure area is under code.
