Susan B. Anthony and other women voted 150 times in 10 states to test the question, 'are women citizens?' In 1875 the supreme court ruled that the were citizens which brought them one step closer to the right to vote. -

19th amendment
The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. It was the first of many laws that would end women's suffrage.
