She was a leading proponent of the Women's suffrage, the right to vote. In 1869 Elizabeth Cady Stanton had founded the National Women Sufferage Association (NWSA). -
Illegal Voting
Women were voting illegally because they were not allowed to vote. Susan B. Anthony later on helped establish the 19th amendment allowing women the right to vote. -
Carry Nation and the WCTU
The WCTU was the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. It was founded to help the morals of the poor by getting rid of alcohol. A group of Women would pray, sing ,and urge Saloons to stop selling Alcohol. -
NAWSA formed
NAWSA was the National American Woman Sufferage Association, established and founded by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Casy Stanton. -
Carrie Chapman Catt and New NAWSA Tactics
Carrie Chapman was president of NAWSA as Susan B. Anthony's successor. She serves from 1900 to 1904 and resumed the presidency in 1915. -
