    The Silent Sentinels were a group protesting against Woodrow Wilson's presidency due to not being helpful towards women's rights. They were peaceful and nonviolent but many had been arrested and had to serve time cause of the protests. It went on for a while until the 19th Amendment was going to be signed.

    The Night of Terror was the result of the protests going on regarding women being arrested for protesting, then going on a hunger strike at the prison due to the harsh conditions. The women were beaten, kicked, grabbed, dragged, and even more by the guards. This caused a massive outrage among the people and was heavily protested against when news broke out.

    The 19th Amendment is finally put into place this year. It stated, “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” This was so no matter what sex you were, you were able to vote in the U.S.
