    This was the National Organization for Women, was founded by Betty Frieden. The organization pushed to help mothers get new jobs while having to take care of their kids. This led up to the Diverse Movement.

    A group of female protesters created this movement which publicized their opinions towards their rights for equality. Gloria Steinem A journalist, and a politician activist made her voice heard during this movement. She also helped found the National Women's Political Caucus, a movement which encouraged women to seek political office.

    Roe vs. Wade The Supreme Court ruled that women do have the choice do get an abortion during the first three months of their pregnancy. Some believed this would cause some emotional and political opposition. This event is still in debate today.

    Betty Frieden said at the end of this era :" For we have lived the second American revolution and our very anger aid YES to a new life."
