The Womans Parliamentary Act
This act gave women the right to stand for parliament. 3 women contested seats at the 1919 election, but none were sucessfully elected. -

Some women begin to question once more why they were still considered unequal, especially since woman made up 1/3 of workers. -
National Organization Of Women
Group of feminists formed the National Organization for Women. They fought gender discrimination in the work place schools. and justice system. -
ERA WINS CONGRESS!
" Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the US or by any state on account of sex." The exact wording of the passed constitional amendment. (Txt. book pg 986) -
