    Resolutions passed include antler point restriction, CWD designation, holiday hunt muzzleloader, archery license bonus tag, improvement for deer registration, Public display of big game, DMU 58, and the extended protection for white and albino deer.The motion for CWD restrictions failed. Topics for discussion included the 2013 deer season, the deer research project, deer health concerning CWD, a deer trustee report, an elk update, and information on law enforcement.

    The information and action items for the March 2014 meeting included the 2013 deer season wrap up, 2014 quota / permit setting a research update, chronic wasting disease best management practices, deer trustee report implementation, elk update, and a law enforcement update. Member matters were also discussed concerning change coming of Elk to an area in Jackson County, concern about strong Forestry input on new deer county deer groups and a thanks to various presenters at the meeting.

    Resolutions passed were antler point restrictions in Barron, Clark, and Polk Counties, to ban baiting and feeding of deer from Sept. 1 to the end of hunting season, to change the legal definition of albino and white deer, white deer hunting in Wood County, to divide Bayfield County, and to remove CWD designation from Polk County. A motion to reject passed by the voice vote was the resolution to create a new elk zone to allow counties to implement antler point restrictions

    During the information and action items the motion was made requesting the DNR Department make 2015
    tags public & specific land specific in counties. The motion was passed with one opposition. The member matters up for discussion were to think about how to address free antlerless tags to youth, to bring back buck archery tag that can be fill with either sex as in the past, noting that shinning is out of control, concern with youth tags, and the CDAC deer committees being restricted.

    The information and action items and updates for the March 2015 meeting included a 2014 deer season wrap up, the CDAC’s and 2015 quota/permit setting, youth antlerless permits, DMAP update, research update, deer trustee report implementation, Elk update and a law enforcement update.
