    Golding began attending Brasenose College at Oxford in 1930 and spent two years studying science because of his fathers beliefs , he switched to the literature program, following his true interests.

    He worked as a writer, actor, and producer with a small theater in an unfashionable part of London, paying his bills with a job as a social worker, in 1939 he became a school English teacher he then temporarily left to the Royal Navy.

    He returned from the Royal Navy which made an enormous impact on him, and decided to write on that which led to him publishing his novel " Lord of the Flies"

    In Lord of the Flies, he combined that perception of humanity with his years of experience with schoolboys. Although not the first novel he wrote, Lord of the Flies was the first to be published after being rejected by 21 publishers, after time this book has done well and he makes several more books later in life.
