William Golding was born in Newquay, Cornwall, England, in 1911. WIlliam's parents are Alec and Mildred Golding. -
William's childhood started in a 14th-century house next door to a graveyard. He was a very bratty and frustrated kid. -
William's education started at Marlborough Grammar School. He also graduated from Oxford University where his father worked. -
William started teaching English and philosophy in 1935, at Bishop Wordsworth's School. -

William worked on a destroyer which was involved in the pursuit and sinking of a battleship. -
