William Golding was born in the 1900s in Newquay, United Kingdom. His parents are Alec and Mildred Golding -
William went to Marlborough Grammar School and then after a while left in 1930. -
After William left Grammer school, he went to Brasenoe College, Oxford to read science. But after 2 years he went back to English and graduated. -
In 1935 Golding took a position teaching English and philosophy at Bishop Wordsworth's School in Salisbury. -

William's last piece of work before passing was "Darkness Visible" (James Tait Black Memorial Prize) -
William won a "Booker Prize for rites of passage" -
