A lot of the time, when people think of Nixon, they think of the Watergate Scandal. One of the most famous scandals in history. When Nixon was accused of knowing about the cover up of the burgerly of the Democratic Headquarters at the Watergate Hotel. This incident caused Nixon to be the first and only president to resign. This is Nixon's most famous downfall. -
Life After Presidency
President Ford (Who took Presidency after Nixon) pardoned Nixon of anything having to do with the Watergate Scandal. Nixon and his family returned to California after leaving Washington. Nixon had a hard time when he got home. He underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in his leg and went into shock because of the internal bleeding and had to have another operation. People call this the lowest time in Nixons life. Nixon did not just disappear after he resinged. He remained in the public eye. -
