The Jurassic Period; 199-145 million years ago
The Jurassic Period was between 199 million years ago and 145 million years ago. During this period, tonnes of rain fell which made deserts shrink and lush rainforests spread across the world. Dinosaurs evolved into many unusual species: giant plkant-eaters, fierce meat-eaters and spiky armoured dinos. The earliest birds also evolved during this period. Dinosaurs from this period:

The Cretaceus Period: 145-65 million years ago
The Cretaceus Period was between 145 million years ago and 65 million years ago. The weather became cooler and oceans grew whilst flowers and leafy treese spread across the land. Many of the weirdest dinosaurs lived during this time but sadly, at the end of this period, all of the dinosaurs died out. Dinosaurs during this period:
