The Bill of Rights was the rights that the U.S. had to follow and what they had to protect themselves for certain danger. The 12 rights are part of the Constitution and was written in 1789. It took around two years after it was written to be officialized into what we have today. -

The Louisiana Purchase was when the United States decided to expand into the west. The Louisiana Purchase spread from Canada to Louisiana and cost the U.S. 15 million dollars. The U.S. decided it was a good buy and they bought it. -

Florida Purchase
The United states decided to expand again, this time they were after what is now known as Florida. Spain was the owners of Florida at that time but, Andrew Jackson decided to check it out. Andrew Jackson, rebuked Spain on how they were governing it and kicked them out of Florida. -
Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act was when Andrew Jackson decided to take the indians land. The Indians protested the removal and decided to take it to court. The judge was in the indians favor and ruled that they could keep their land. -
Trail of tears
The trail of tears was a sad time for America. Andrew Jackson decided to take the Indians land and make them leave. The Americans torchered the indians until they decided to make their own trail and travel to find a new home. When the indians were forced to leave their tears made history. To this day, people have respected the trail of tears and the indians who made history. -

The Mexican American War was a trecherous battle between Mexico and America over the Rio Grande River and parts of Texas. The war included many battles like, The battle of Resaca da la Palma, and The battle of Palo Alto both in which the U.S. won. In the end, the war lasted two years and overall the Americans were triumphant. : ) -

Transcontinental Railroad
The Transcontinental Railroad, was buit to help people go from place quicker and eaiser. The railroad, streched across the United States and was 1,097 miles long. It took 6 years to build and it was almost all built by hand.
