    Rise of the Germanic Tribes
    The Roman Empire has fallen by Germanic Tribes and the dark ages began. All knowledge from the Romans were gone, there were no schools, no governments, and no art. The only thing that survived from the Roman Empire was religion, the Bible. But only Germanic priests can read so it wasn’t as powerful as it will become in the future. Germanic Tribes were very brutal and disgusting; preforming dark, disgusting rituals and killing any other tribe that the find.

    Charles Martel was a military leader and was the Duke and Prince of Franks and was an overall ruler of francia. Charles Martel stopped Muslims from advancing in Europe at the Battle of Tours.

    The First University in Europe was built in Bologna in 1088 and was named the University of Bologna.

    The First Crusade (1096-1099) was a military expedition by the Roman Catolic Church to regain the Holy Lands taken during the Musim Conquests leaading up to the recapture of Jerusalem by the Roman Catholic Church in 1099.

    The End of the Fourth Crusade

    This event was signifigant because it was end of the fourth crusade which marked the end of the crusades during the middle ages. The Fourth crusade was, like its predessors, made to conquere Jerusalem from the muslims through Egypt as well as conquering more land to be controlled by the pope.

    In 1219, the last Christian city in the Middle East fell to the Muslims. This event is signifigant because it showed how quickly the land that the crusaders have fought so long for was taken back over to muslim rule.

    The Hundred Years War was a series of conflicts between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of France for control of the latter kingdom. The Hundred Years War began in 1337 and ended in 1453.

    By the end of 1346, reports of plague had reached the seaports of Europe: "India was depopulated, Tartary, Mesopotamia, Syria, Armenia were covered with dead bodies" This event is signifigant because it showed how the plague began to spread and that it wasnt just europe that was effected by this plague.

    The Start of the Plague
    Through the process of wars, trading, and overall traveling through the Middle East, the Plague was tarveling with the people and teh soldiers back into there homeland of Europe. a year before the first outbreak of the Plague, European leders heard reports of a deadly disease that spread through India and Mesopotamia. The first outbreak of the Plague in Europe occured in Sicily in 1347. The Plague soon spread throughout Europe and the last report of the Plague occured in Russia.

    The Great Schism or The Western Schism was a split in the Catholic Church from 1378 to 1418, where several men simultaneously claimed to be the true pope.

    in 1450, the first type of movable mechanical printing technology in Europe was made and was called the Printing Press. This machine was made by German Printer, Johannes Gutenberg.

    on April 6th, 1453, Constantinople was invaded by the Ottoman Empire which began a seven week siege over constantinople and ended with the fall of Constantinople on May 29th, 1453.

    Lorenzo de Medici's reign in power began on December 2nd, 1469 and lasted to April 9th, 1492. During the time Lorenzo achieved many great accomplishments in the work of art, achictecture, and political ability.

    The Recuyell of the Histories of Troy was the first book printed in english and thus books printed in english spread and would help us record our history. This event is signifigant because it was the first of many books that would be printed in english and would effect our future and our knowledge of history.

    in 1486, The Oration on the Dignity of Man was made/published by Pico della Mirandola, an Italian scholar and philosopher of the Renaissance. The Oration has been called the "Manifesto of the Renaissance".
