The Egyptians were the first people to keep health records. The priests were also physicians in their time. They healed people who had wounds using leaches. -

Ancient Chinese
The Acient Chinese people devolved acupuncture, as early as the Stone Age, by using stone tools. Acupuncture is still used today but advanced. -

Ancient Greeks
The Greeks were the first to research and prove that illness was not always spiritual but also natural. The research they did got rid of superstition. Dissection was not allowed because of religion during this time. Hippocrates kept notes on symptoms and proved that disease was not caused by supernatural forces. He wrote the standard called the Oath of Hippocrates and that is still used today. -

Ancient Romans
The Romans used public baths with filters and used them as the first form of public sanitation. They sent physicians and medical equipment with armies for wounded soldiers. Physicians were paid by the government. Roman physicians kept rooms in their house for the ill; this was the beginning of hospitals. -
