Chanie was left behind with the uncle's wife and child. He then decided to catch up to them and hoped to reside with them.

The uncle tells Chanie to return to the school, while the brothers advise him against it.

Chanie's family lives nearby some train tracks, although he was on the same tracks, they were hundreds of kilometres away.

Chanie freezes to death along the railroad tracks, he is then accepted into the afterlife.
