    The Wars of the Roses were different civil wars that were fought by the people of the House of Lancaster and the House of York. These houses were branches of the Plantagenet royal housed coming from their descent from King Edward III.

    King Richard was the last king of the Plantagenet family. He had ruled over England for over 300 years. Richard was also defetated by Henry Tudor at Bosworth Field. This ended the Plantagenet Dynasty and the Wars of the Roses.
