Gas bombs were a new tactic used by the Germans. They were in the form of bombs and released poison gasses as a form of attack. They were countered by the gas mask witch protected people from the gas.

Sinking of the Lusitania

The Lusitania was a British ship. It was carrying weapons secretly. It was torpedoed down by the Germans because they said they would sink ships that entered and left British ports. The Lusitania also carried American passengers that died that angered President Wilson.

This telegram was made by Arthur Zimmermann. It was supposed to be sent to Mexico telling them to invade the United States to cause a distraction. This telegram was intercepted by the British. They told President Wilson, The American citizens didn't believe him.
