On June 18,1812 the United States made it offical that the war with Great Britain had began. They declared war with Great Britain after they kept shipjacking us. -

The British had the Indians on their side to help against the United States. But, the United States still outnumbered them and won. More importantly, the Americans ended up killing Tecumseh. -

During the Battle of Horseshoe Bend, the Indians sided with the British because the British showed less threat to them. The Indians had a great amount of deaths but the Americans only had a few. -

The Fort became faumous when the British attacked us on September 13,1814. The great defense inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star Spangled Banner. -
The Hartford Convention"New England Considers Secession"
They tried to stop the war so they came together to make an agreement. The Brittish were still mad the Americans were taking their land though. -
Treaty of Ghent
They finally came to an agreement that would stop the war. They signed it in France so it took time to get the word out to the army. So, even after they signed the peace treaty, the wars continued for a couple weeks. -
The Battle of New Orleans
The battle lasted from December all the way to January. During the war the Treaty of Ghent was signed. It took time to send the message to them in New Orleans so they were fighting even though the peace treaty was signed.
