TopThorn Joey's best friend just got over being sick and he is not fully recovered but they put him to work and he fell and died to a heart failure.

Joey is in the auction all of the war's horses are they are being sold to butchers. They dont want to sell Joey but they dont have the money to bid against these rich butcherers. But Joey is sold not to a butcher but to Emilie's grandfather and he does not need Joey so he gives him to Albert.
