    Walt Disney
    Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago. He was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor, writer and film producer.
  • Childhood

    He lived most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, his family moved to Kansas City, where Disney developed a love for trains. His uncle, Mike Martin, was a train engineer who worked the route between Fort Madison and Marceline. Later, Disney would work a summer job with the railroad, selling snacks and newspapers to travelers.

    Walt dropped out of high school at 16 ,he had been an inattentive student but drew constantly. Afterwards, he began his freshman year at McKinley High School in Chicago (as well as attending night classes at the Chicago Art Institute) before leaving school for good to join the Red Cross.

    After the war, Walt returned to Kansas City, where he began his career as an ad cartoonist. In 1920, he created and marketed his first original animated cartoons, and later perfected a new method for combining live-action and animation. Walt Disney began his career in animation with the Kansas City Film Ad Company in Missouri in 1920. In 1922 Disney and his friend began producing a series of cartoons based on fables and fairy tales. His first cartoon was Mickey Mouse.

    Walt Disney was a legendary man. Not he only inspire thousands of people and create iconic characters, he also had a personality that everyone can learn from. He was creative and passionate about his work. His creativity hasn't exaly a parallel. His passion too is so powerful. But Walt Disney personality transcend the obvious details of the great man.

    He married Lillian Bounds in 1925. She was an American artist at the Disney Studios. Their marriage produced two daughters Diane and Sharon. Sharon was adopted in December 1936.

    Death
    Disney was a heavy smoker throughout his life and died of lung cancer in December 1966 at his age of 65 before either the park or the EPCOT project were completed.
