White male property owners were the only people who had the right to vote. -

People are not judged on their religious beliefs, able to vote. -
Property Requirements Dropped
Any white adult male can vote, dont have to own land, etc. -
15th Amendment
It gives slaves the right to vote and gives voting rights to adult male citizens of any race. -
19th Amendment
Gives women the right to vote!! -
23rd Amendment
District of Columbia can participate in presidential elections. -
24th Amendment
Bans the poll tax as being a requirement in the elections. -
Voting Rights Act of 1965
Protects the rights of minorities, and gets rid of barriers such as the literary test. -
26th Amendment
Sets the age to be 18 to vote.
