Constitution is ratified
With the constitution being created there were only select people that were allowed to vote. Those people allowed to vote were only white men that owned land. -
Religious qualifications dropped
Now there is no limits on what your religion is to have the right to vote. -
Property requirements dropped
In 1850 they dropped the requirmen to own properties to vote. So now all white males can vote. -
15th Amendment passed
Now the amendment passes that allows all races to vote. Even former slaves have the right to vote. -
19th Amendment passed
The 19th Amendment passes amd now makes it possible for women to vote. -
23rd Amendment passed
Now people who lived in thbe District of Columbia can vote in the elections for president. -
24th Amendment passes
Now there are no poll taxes so people who couldnt afford to vote now can. -
Voting Rights Act of 1965
There are no more tests so that minoritys will fail so now they can vote. -
26th Amendment passes
The youngest you allowed to be to vote is 18.
