    All whites owing land could vote

    Could follow any religion and be able to vote

    White males didn't need to own property to vote

  • 15th Amendment

    Gives male slaves the right to vote and any race

  • 19th Amendment

    Gives women the right to vote

  • 23rd Amendment

    Allows people who live in the District of Columbia to vote

  • 24th Amendment

    Bans all states from having a poll tax

  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    Protected the rights of minority voters and bans and eliminates voting barriers

  • 26th Amendment

    Lowers the voting age to 18
