All of the white, land owning whites could vote -

Property ownership was no longer needed as well as tax requiremnets. Almost all white males could vote. -
15th Amendment
Giving the former male slaves the right to vote, while pretecting the voting rights of the adult males of any race -
19th Amendment
grants women sufferage which is giving women the right to vote -
23rd Amendment
Allows the Columbia District ( Federal) to have the right participate in presidential elections -
24th Amendment
bans the rule to pay as a requirement in order to vote in Federal elections -
Voting rights act of 1965
Protects the rights of minority voters while eliminating the voting barriers like the literacy test. Expanded and renewed in 1970, 1975, 1985. -
26th Amendment
Requires the minimum age to vote to be 18
