13th Admendment

15th Admendment

Dec 2, 1869

This Admendment gives all minority males the right to vote.

African-Americans right to vote

Dec 3, 1896

This year is the year that many Southern states pass laws to take voting rights from African-Americans.

The Grandfather Clause

Dec 10, 1915

This Clause required voters to prove their grandfathers could vote, although most African-American's were slaves.

19th Admendment

Dec 11, 1920

This Amendment gives the right to vote to women.

Poll Taxes

Dec 11, 1937

This year the Sprime Court rules taxes are constitutional. It was required to pay to be able to register to vote.

24th Amendment

Feb 11, 1964

In this year the poll taxes are banned and it gives an end to all Poll Taxes.

Freedom Summer

Jun 11, 1964

This is an Attempt to register African-American to vote in Mississippi.

This Act bands all radical and ethical descrimination in elections.

The Literacy Test
