    This event leads to other events because when the war ends they create the 13th amendment which does free slaves and ends slavery. This creates and outrage of people from the south having to release their slaves and let them live normal lives.
  • The 15th amendment gives minority males the right to vote.

    The 15th amendment gives minority males the right to vote.
    This event is important because it gives all males no matter what color the right to vote. This is a turning point because everyone is starting to open up and not see Africa Americans as slaves but as actual people. Some people might not fully agree with whats all happening but its a really good thing.

    This event leads to other events because the southerners are not okay with the actions that have been taking place so they are doing everything they can to change the laws and take away African American rights. This causes the next two events to take place.

    This event is important because the courts are saying that making someone do a literacy test is okay and if the people who gave you the test doesn't like your answer they can take your rights away. This is important because they are taking rights away again for the color of peoples skin.
  • Supreme Court declares "Grandfather Clause" unconstitutional.

    This is important because they are taking away a clause that was unfair to most African Americans and they are making it so that if your grandfather was a slave you could still vote. This shows they are slowly changing things so African Americans could vote.
  • 19th Amendment gives women the right to vote.

    This event leads to increased voting rights because not only now are all men aloud to vote but women are to. This is a turning point because now not all white men have power but all colors and genders have power to.
  • Supreme Curt rules that poll taxes are constitutional.

    This is important because with all the changes going on and how everyone can vote now, people are trying to get people to not vote by taxing the votes.So if someone cant afford to vote they are not aloud to. That's really unfair to most people.
