This was the end of the civil war. This event was so important because it freed so many black lives when slavery was abolished. -

This event was very important because this era was totally different now, because not only women but men got the right to vote. -
19th Amendment
This era also changed a lot. This was because this amendment gave the right to vote to women. I feel it is more equal now. -
Supreme court rules poll taxes are unconstitutional.
The supreme court ruled that poll taxes are unconstitutional. This was important because this amendment prohibited requiting a poll tax for voters in federal elections. -
24th Amendment
Outlaws poll taxes. This is important because it restricted voting rights. And that's not fair nor what the people wanted. -
Freedom Summer
This was an attempt to register African Americans to get to vote in Mississippi. Which seemed fair right? This is important because when abolishing slavery i think that event led to this one, letting the African Americans having the right to vote. -
Voting right act
This with other events leading to this like abolishing slavery and giving the right to vote to the African Americans, this was very important because it was banning racial and ethnic discrimination in elections.
