The Stamp Act was the taxing of all the paper products by King George. People had to have all papers stamped and they had to pay for it with a tax. People didn't want to be taxed. -

Townshend Act
The Townshend Act was a tariff that the British placed on the colonist. The British taxed all the goods from Britian. The colonists boycotted the Townshend Act. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre started when the colonists threw snowballs at the British. There was a crowd of men in the snowball fight. the British fired on the colonists and 5 men got killed. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party happened because the colonists were being taxed for the tea they bought from Britain. The colonists dressed as Mohawk Indians and went on a boat that had tea and they dumped the tea in the water and ran away. The Daughters Of Liberty made their own kind of tea. -
Frist Continental Congress meets
A representative, or person, came from twelve of the thirteen Colonies to meet together in Phililadelphina. They decided to stop all trade with Britain and to form milities, volunteer armies, in each colony. They decided to meet again in a year. -
Paul Revere's Midnight Ride
Paul Revere saw the lartierns in old south Church in Biston, Massachucetts. He saw two lit larterns, which meant the British the were coming by sea. He rode his horse to Lexington to warn Samuel Adams, John Hancock and the other colonists that the bristish weere coming to attack them. -
Lexington and Concord
The British lined up and faced the colonists at Lexington. The British wanted the colonists to put down their weapons. The colonists did not do it. Someone fired a shot. No one knows who fired it. The colonists were losing and retreated to Concord. The colonists were ready for the British and won that battle. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
This happened at Breed Hill. The colonists were protecting the hill from the British. The British wanted to control the hill. They were
fighting to see who would keep the hill. And the British won but the
Coloist felt that they won because they shot more people on the
British side. -
Declaration of Independence is adopted
This document was written by Thomas Jefferson for the colonists stating they wanted to not be under British rule . It was signed by the Contental Congress and sent to King George lll. -
Battle of Valley Forge
This was not a battle. The British had captured Philadelphia. Washington's army marched to Valley Forge. It was cold and the soliders had no shoes, food and supplies. The French soldiers helped with supplies. 2,500 American soldiers died from the cold.
