I was born on Saturday July 18, 1855 at 5:45 am. I live in Ireland I’m 5 but in a mouth I will be six. My family is dirt poor but father has been save money and last night he told us we are going to America. So me, mother and father stared to pack are belonging. And the next morning we got on the ship and we left for America. -
PHYYICL
When we got off the boat the first thing we had to do was to get a physic. They gave us are physic one at a time. They roll are eyelids bake to make sure we didn’t have trachoma. If we didn’t have it we were good to go but some of the people on the boat had it. So they had the go back home we all felt bad for them. -
ELLIS ISLAND
We were on are way to Ellis Island and in the middle of the ship ride mother got ill but she got over it .Then was were on the ship for two more day and then we heard someone shouting the statue of liberty the statue of liberty I see it. We all ran to the edge of the boat and we all just stood there looking at it for what seem like forever and then we dock into the harbor and we stared to get off the boat. When I got off the boat the first foot I place on the unknown land I have a filing of hope -
BOSS TWEED
The next day we met a man named boss tweed. He talk to my mom and dad for a while and he told then he can get then jobs and a place for us to live as long as we voted for him. So we agreed to it and now my mom and dad can start to make money. -
JOB
My mom and dad want to work for the first time today. Boss tweed got them job at a clothing factory. They were gone before I got up this morning to get ready for my first day of school. I’m so tired I didn’t sleep because there were people outside my window make so much noise I couldn’t sleep . -
LOST OF A LOVE ONE
I heard there was a fire somewhere today. But I didn’t know where was. When I got home my mom was crying and I asked her where dad was and she just stared crying more and then she told me what happen. Did you hear about that fire today I said yes well that was at the factory you dad didn’t make it out. Then I hugged her and stared to cry something that I haven’t done in year.
