My Lai Massacre
The U.S. military raided this village after information that it was linked to the Viet Cong. Hundreds if innocent villagers were killed as a result and the village was destroyed aswell. -
Nixon Wins 1968 Election
After Johnson does not run for re-election Nixon is elected to president. Nixon continues the war in Vietnam. -
Fall of Saigon
The Capital of South Vietnam was taken by the People's Army of Vietnam and the Viet Cong. This event marked the end of the war in Vietnam
