    Tonkin is off the coast of Vietnam, the attack was unprovoked and happened twice, it was when the North Vietnamese attacked 2 US ships The Tonkin resolution was when the US Congress passed a resolution or response to the Gulf of Tonkin incident, this was on August 7,1964
  • Operation Rolling Thunder

    Operation Rolling Thunder
    This was a sustained bombing of North Vietnam by the US, this was initially the United States' response to the Gulf of Tonkin incident. This bombing destroyed the Ho Chi Minh Trail, destroying the food supply for North Vietnam or the Vietcong. It also went on for three years.
