Gulf of Tonkin incident
Gulf of Tonkin incident, also known as USS Maddox incident, was a conflict between North Vietnam and United States, and it was taken place in the Gulf of Tonkin.In this battle sea, United States used destroyer and aircraft carrier as well as 4 aircrafts. As a result, North Vietnamese Torpedo boats were destroyed , 4 Vietnamese sailors were killed and 6 otheres were wounded. -
Gulf of Tonkin Resolution
Gulf of Tonkin Resolution was passed by United States Congress on August 7, 1964, and it was to response to the Gulf of Tonkin. That became a historical significance because the president of United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, was authorized by U.S Congress to take military action if needed. It never happened before in U.S history. -
Operation Rolling Thunder (1965 - 1968 )
Operation Rolling Thunder was one of the campaign that was conducted by U.S Air Force against North Vietnam.This campaign lasted only 3 years, it supported South Vietnam and to destroy North Vietnam's transportation system, industrial base, and air defenses. Because of this campaign. Soviet Union and China helped North Vietnam a lot and finally this campaign did not accomplish. -

It was a military campaign by North Vietnam and Viet Cong against South Vietnam and United States. The purpose was to attack South Vietnam surprisingly when there was not allowed war to be taken place. This campaign was very effective, and During a decade, North Vietnam could control the whole Vietnam; Consequently, Vietnam went under Communism. -
My Lai Massacre
This was the Vietnam War mass by American soilders of Charlie, and Between 347 and 504 unnamed civilians of South Vietnam were killed.Most of them were childern, Infants, and elderly people, and women were gang-raped before killing ; however, all of the criminal were not comvited and sentence to delth. -
Fall of Saigon
Saigon was the capital of South Vietnam and it was attacked on April 29, 1975, by People's Army of Vietnam which was commanded by Van Tien Dung. On April 30, 1975, the south was completely under the invasion of North Vietnam , and it meant that Vietnam was now under the control of Communism.
