    in the 1930s technology was still years away from what we would now call a video game. Although video games were not possible at the time in 1931 Raymond t. Maloney invented the "Bally Hoo" pinball machine. as the first pinball machine the bally hoo machine had no flippers or bumpers, and no single hole at the bottom of the playing field.

    Although pong is thought of as the first electronic video game, their was another 1 year before Alan Alcorn was born. In January 1947 Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann Patented their invention, the Cathode-Ray Tube Amusement Device. Goldsmith Jr. and Mann's invention was inspired by a radar display and was both the first video game, and the first video game based on World War II.
