    Google Docs stored files in the form of documents, spread sheets, and slides. It was similar to Windows Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, but allows access online through any internet browser. It also allowed connection to other users through sharing.

    Google Drive, formerly Google Docs, stores files (images, documents, calendar events, contacts, etc). It allows for sharing of those files with other users and access to files as long as device is connected via wifi or 3G/4G LTE.
