A law in 1862 that gave people the right to expand the the Great Plains. This allowed people to become landowners. -

A document written by President Lincoln. This freed the slaves in the Confederate States. -
Battle of Gettysburg
The deadliest battle in the Civil War. This is where Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address. -
Appomattox Court House
The final battle of the Civil War. This is where the South surrounded and America became one again. -
The Assassination of Abe Lincoln
On April 15, 1865, at the Ford Theatre, Abe Lincoln was assassinated. This was 5 days after the Civil War ended.
