Nixon traveled to the soviet union and signed agreements that contained the results of the first SALT. -
Nixon domestic
problems was riseing with the economy. But in order to reduce inflation he initially tried to restrict federal spendings but beginning in 1971 his budget proposals contained deficits of several billion dollars. -
Ford Domestic
He wanted to cut taxes and improve the economy for America. He didn't have many domestic policies. He also granted a pardon for President Nixon, in order to calm down conflicts, due to the Watergate Scandal. -
Ford and Foreign policy
the united states and Su endorsed the helsinki accords that put europe on record of favor of human rights in a favor of human rights. -
Carter Domestic
Carter received temporary authority from Congress to allocate natural gas supplies and to regulate prices. He also used the Taft-Hartley act to end a coal miner's strike. -
Salt II
The United States choose not to ratify the treaty in response to the soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
