Vietnam declares independence

U.S. Military Aid French Indochina

Nov 1, 1946

The French refused to accept Vietnam's independence, so the France launched attacks on Viet Minh strongholds, killing some 6,000. The following month, Vietnam attacked back. This caused U.S. Military Aid french Idochina.
