The fourthenth amendment granted citizenship to African Americans. -
Naturalization Act
Permitted "aliens of African nativity and to persons of African descent" to become Naturalized citizens of the United States. -
Page Act
First official law against immigration. Stated that it was illegal to bring any oriental person into the U.S.. -
chinese exclusion act
Law that excluded chinese immigrants from entering the US. -
Contract Labor Law
Forbade ship captains from transporting immigrants under labor contracts. -
Geary Act
Extended the Chinese Eclusion Act by 20 years and made it a requirement for the Chinese to carry identification with them. -

Prohibited the immigration of "undesirable people" to the U.S.. This included mental people, psycopaths, homosexuals an drunks. -
The National Origins Act
Limited the number of immigrants to 2% of the population already living in the United States. Aimed to restrict southern and eastern immigrants. -

Objective was to distinguish the naturally born citizanes from the foreign born citizens. -
The Cuban Refugee Act
Allowed Cubans to become perminant citizens if they were in the country for at least 2 years. -
Arizona SB 1070
Allowed police to stictly examine proof of residency in the United States. Discouraged immigrants form migrating to the U.S. -

Set many restrictions against illegal immigration and banned them from attending school and colleges.
