This was an act created to stop Chinese workers from immagrating to the west coast. This act was created to last 10 years and was extremely discrimitory towards people of asian decent. -
Homestead Act
The Homestead Act allowed people to come to Oklahoma to prospect pieces of land. Thousands of people rushed over and in a matter of weeks the Indians were kicked out of it. -

The U.S. invaded Cuba to secure their safety from Spain and various other countries. This was also benefical to our economy at the time. -
