Just one day after making a promise to not disturb the people of Sand Creek, the "Colorado Volunteers" attacked the village. They killed around 400 people. This massacre is a disturbing reminder of how distrustful Americans have been. -

The U.S. officially annexed Hawaii in 1898. At this time, Hawaii was run by a monarch, Queen Lili'uokalani. The U.S. took over the Kingdom by force. -
Henry Ford starts selling cars

Henry Ford began to sell cars in 1903. This produced a massive change in American culture. It has been just over 100 years since then, and life without automobiles is unimaginable. -

On December 7th, 1941, the Hawaiin territory Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan. Over 2000 people were killed. This bombing lead to the United States' role in World War II. -
