U.S. History In 1790, Samuel Slater became the first man to build a factory in the United States. This sparked a massive expansion of factory installation across the U.S. for the next dacade. -

US History Andrew Jackson wins the 1828 election and becomes President of the United States. He later went on to change the country forever, bringing forth the voice of the Common Man. -

The Emancipation Proclamation was signed into law on September 22, 1862. This document was created by Abraham Lincoln. It stated that if a state continued to rebel against the Union on January 1, 1863, all slaves in said state were legally emancipated. -

15th Amendment is signed into law

The 15th Amendment made it legal for black people to vote in the United States. Though many southern states found ways around letting this happen, it became legal in 1870. It wasn't until around 1965 that a majority of black people in the country were legally registered to vote, though.
