On this day, Columbus, an italian explorer who sailed for spain, discovered that there was unknown land in the western hemisphere while he was trying to prove that the Earth wasn't falt. He and his crew were tyring to reach China (by going around the world, thus proving that the world wasn't flat) but instead landed on America. -
