    This act enabled the President to divide Native American land into allotments for individuals.

  • North Dakota becomes a US state

    North Dakota becomes the 39th US state.

  • Montana becomes a US state

    Montana becomes the 41st US state.

  • Sherman Antitrust Act

    This act prevented artificial price raises through the restriction of trade.

  • Idaho becomes a US state

    Idaho becomes the 43rd US state

  • Wyoming becomes a US state

    Wyoming becomes 44th US state

  • The Tariff Act

    This act raised the tax on imports in order to protect domestic products and industries.

  • Utah becomes a US state

    Utah becomes the 45th US state.

  • The Teller Amendment

    This amendment was signed by President McKinley, and was meant to help Cuba gain independence and be controlled by the people of the island.

    Sprung by the explosion of the USS Main, this war was mainly the result of the US aiding the Cubans in their war for independence.
