Navigation Act
The Navigation Act were laws that were made for what England and colonies could import and export. It really started in 1660s, but was put in full force during the 1760s.This was the start of it all and the colonists weren't at their worst, but they weren't fond of it since basically everything was going to England, but the government was happy with everything going on as it was going their way and they were getting what they wanted. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was created by the Parliament which tried to end the smuggling trade and taxed sugar, so they could get money since they were in debt from the war. The colonists very angry and mad. They didn't like that they had to pay taxes for the British, but they didn't get a say in anything the British do, so they began to say "No Taxation without Representation". The government was just always pressured by colonists and they lowered prices many times. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was established by the British Parliament which made every printed document in American Colonies have a stamp on it. This was the first direct tax and the stamps were proof of payment. This made colonists act out as they boycotted British goods. The pressure on the parliament made them repeal this act.

Declaratory Act
The Declaratory Act declared that they repealed the sugar act. It said the tax in America would be the same in Great Britain. Of course the colonists were happy as they got what they want (at the time). The government wasn't very happy as they didn't get what they wanted, but it shows how harsh they could be (the other acts). Link Text -
Townshend Act
The Townshend Act was made after Charles Townshend persuaded the House of Commons to tax Americans again, but this time an import tax on glass, paper, lead, and tea. The colonists were definitely not happy and they would harass tax collectors and merchants. They were ready for action. Townshend made an increase on those in Colonies helping out the British to really lay down the law. Nothing good was coming for the British as the Colonists were very mad.
