The war of 1812 was a conflict battle between the United States and Great Britain. The cause of the war of 1812 was Brittan attempted to restrict trade. The war caused the burning of the nation’s capital in Washington D.C in August 1815. The notification if the treaty Ghent ended the war but there where many questions unanswered. -
Trail of Tears
The trail of tears was a forced act of the Cherokee tribe to realocate to present-day oklahoma as a part of the Indian removal act of 1830. During the relocation people suffered from exposure, disease, and starvation while on the trail. More than ten thousand dudes before reaching their destinations. -
California Gold Rush
The California gold rush started when there was a discovery of gold nuggets in the Sacramento valley in the early 1848. News spread as the discovery of these many gold nuggets thousands of gold miners tracked to California. By the end of 1849 the total of 2 billion worth of precious metal was found from the area during the cold rush. -
Beginning of the civil war
The civil war began when the confederates confronted Union solders at Fort Sumter, in South Carolina. The civil war ended in the spring of 1865. -
Spanish American War
The Spanish american war started as a mysterious explosion sank the battleship USS, triggering a war between the United States and Spain. The ship had to come to Cuba to protect american citizens. -
The United States Enters WWI
The U.S joined its allies to fight in world war 1. Under the command of Major General Jhon J. Pershing, more than 2 million U.S solders fought on battlefields in France. Many Americans where not happy with the idea of the U.S joining the war.
